So much to be thankful for!

I turned 40 yesterday.
It is surreal y’all.
Things are burning.
People are dying.
But like the good ole Mississippi Mass Choir song says, “I’m still here” and for that I am thankful to God.
Nationally, these last three months have been interesting. I won’t say bad, because this movement has been a long time coming. And for things to get better, sometimes there is pain.
That said, I’d never suggest that I wish folk to die in the street, face down, unable to breathe to birth a movement. But hate got us here, and only love and hard work will get us out.
I’ve had a lot of time with my family since March. It was God’s way of telling me to “slow down and enjoy these treasures that I have given you”. I cannot tell you how happy I have been to be with these blessings from above. At first it was a bit overwhelming, but Selina and I learned to embrace the chaos, and thrive in it.
Any way, check out the video. It sorta encapsulates my joy over these three months.
We are all truly “kept by mercy and grace”
